Description
As some of you may or may not know I used to be in the US Air force. My second to last assignment took me to the gorgeous Tokyo Japan that I so dearly wish to return to. ~ o~

I picked up these Chibi Godzilla Gashapons from Akihabara the Video gaming/Anime center of the universe... A place I can easily drop 1000 dollars on amazing works of art in as many seconds.

After some time I thought wouldn't these be great for a chess board? And it was so.

I split the sides between Aliens and Earthlings as best I could. I used Micro Machine Tanks for the Earth pawns and UFO keychain lights I found somewhere on the internet.

I based their board positions on each character's combat styles in the movies as well as their respective potential for city wrecking destruction, and or ability to fly.

For the black side...

King    = MechaGodzilla
Queen    = King Ghidorah
Bishop 1   = Gigan
Bishop 2   = Megalon
Knight 1   = Gorosoraus
Knight 2   = Titanosaurus
Rook 1 = Moguera
Rook 2    = Hedorah
Pawns    = UFO

For the white side...

King    = Godzilla
Queen    = Mothra
Bishop 1 = Rodan
Bishop 2 = Jet Jaguar
Knight 1 = King Seasar
Knight 2 = Anguirus
Rook 1   = Varan
Rook 2   = Bragon
Pawns    = Army Tanks

admittedly its kind of hard to tell which piece is which once they're all good and shook up especially if you lack extensive knowledge of the movie series. I should probably paint a small letter or symbol explaining their movement. Aaaand apparantly dust them off while I'm at it. XD

Ug always so much dust in my room, so annoying.
