Update 2: Very big and exciting news soon to come...!Update: I know it's been two years now, but I am in fact still working on this and planning to update it. I didn't have much time to work for a while. Right now I'm in the middle of rewriting the code from as2 to as3. There'll be a lot of behind the scene changes that'll just make things run so much smoother. On top of that I've redone the layout, which looks much nicer now, it's easier to read and use, and makes it much easier to understand how things work. The last thing I have planned before I officially release the next version is a redo for the art on the markings. Lineart will stay the same, but things such as tabby markings, tortie patches, and white markings will be fixed up, and will hopefully look much better.
I'd like to get some opinions on whether I should upload the full version over this deviation, or whether I should upload a second one so this version can still be used. Thoughts? Feel free to still comment and give your opinion on this, but it's looking like I'll probably end up putting this version on sta.sh, and uploading the new version over this. That way all favorites and links for this will still be intact, and people will still have the choice over which version to use. If you have any other opinions though, I'd love to hear them!

Realistic Cat Creator (RCC) is a fully customizable, genetically sound, cat generator. Currently in beta form, it includes 4 base colors; Black, chocolate, cinnamon, and red. Currently available markings are tabby, tortoiseshell, and white.
Options blocked out with the gray N/A block may be shown by switching one of the various on/off switches.

To save the cats you make, screenshot (no I'm not going to go into how to screenshot here, but if you think I should, feel free to comment and request it!) the page, and crop everything outside of the dark border around the cat if desired.
If you wish to upload the cat you created, you're more than welcome to, but make sure to read and follow dA's rules on this , and always give proper credit, either with a link back to this program, or a link to my userpage.
You are not under any circumstances allowed to sell the cats you create in this program for any kind of currency, nor use these for any kind of adoptables, free or otherwise. You are however more than welcome to use the design you've made and use it with a premade lineart, or in a drawing of your own, and you may sell, give away, and use that design however you please.
Feel free to link any cats you upload from this, I'd love to see them.

Yeah, they cost a ridiculous amount, even from shelters sometimes. Though shelters are much cheaper, you can't get as much variation in the type of cat you want. D:

Of course, I think some mixed breeds are adorable, but there isn't much variation at shelters, mainly the shorthairs.

Yup D: Though one good thing about mixed breeds is that if you're really lucky, you'll get a couple really pretty traits that aren't normally put together in pures. Can get some gorgeous cats~

I'm sorry D: The whole thing will be darker and easier to read in the finished version, but for now you could darken your screen? Another user had the same problem with windows eight and just darkening the screen should make it better.

Wow thank goodness maybe people will use this for their characters then that awful one that gives you maroon cats with purple eyes.
Also I was just wondering, aren't the eye colors specific to the pelts? Like I though Cinnamon and Chocolate had paler eyes, and that tabbies couldn't have green ones only hazel and vice versa for solid ones. I might be wrong though, I dunno. Or maybe you just haven't programmed that in yet ;;

I hope so. xD There's nothing wrong with some fantastical non-realistic characters, but it's nearly all there is out there as of late.
The only eye colors that are strictly linked to some kind of pelt color or pattern are blue, and blue green eyes. The others are possible on any coat, though some aren't as common/aren't always accepted in purebreds. I'm gonna take a wild guess as say you think that they're all link because [link] this? If so, it has a note at the top about how all normal eye colors are possible on most coats, just not always wanted. If that's not where you learned that from, you can ignore that xD I've just heard a lot of people thinking that because they saw that deviation and didn't see the note.
However you are right, chocolate and cinnamon do often come with paler colored eyes. However from what I've seen in various chocolate and cinnamon cats, it's no something that is set to happen in /every/ cat of that color. And the eye brightness slider allows for the paler colors if wanted.

Haha don't worry, a /lot/ of people have missed it, including me. xD Before I really got into genetics of cats, all I knew was from there and I didn't notice that note. Only noticed it after I already actually knew the information from elsewhere. :b So don't feel bad. xD And no problem~

Yeah there's not really much stuff out there about the genetics of eye colors sadly. Only very basic stuff, and even that is hard to come by oddly enough.

Yeah, same with the tipping and inhibition stuff, all the sources I find say its either 2 mixing alleles (I cannot recall the technical term right now um) or 3 alleles for the same slot yadayada I can't even find if it is dominant or recessive to normal cats every website tells me differently fff.

I actually don't think they /have/ a solid theory everyone agrees on for that. xD I swear every place says different. I usually just go with messybeast, as they're usually quite reliable. But I don't think even that has a clear no question explanation. x.x

I believe the most supported theory on Messybeast is that two wideband genes make tipped, one makes shaded, and none makes a tabby. And I feel you brah

Thanks! Yeah, there are a /lot/ of cartoony cat creators out there. Personally, I am a fan of cartoony creators, but the problem is that there isn't really any choice on whether you want to use a cartoony one or not. :b I hope this'll give people that choice.
