Name: Hvede
Species: Hill Huldra
Gender: She /Her
Description: A hardworking rancher and a bit of a tomboy, Hvede keeps a tight ship about her small cozy ranch in the clearing of an inhospitable forest. Famed for her beauty and for the wheat which sprouts pure gold from her back, and living as she does in the middle of a dreary and dangerous woodland, she has something of a problem with would-be fairytale protagonists seeking her out to court and rescue her, for which she has no time of day. She's right where she wants to be, thankyouverymuch, and all the scary monsters you fought off to reach her, well, she's got a handy dandy shovel and a whole herd of loyal rukaan.
Hvede relishes nothing more than a rainy twilight, the low natural glow over the open spaces in her home plains, the difficult yet comfortable routine of trudging through tall grass and deep mud to feed her numerous animal companions; from well trained rukaan to friendly wild songbirds. Some have a tendency to nibble the seeds growing from her spine, but ah well, such is the cycle of plantlife, they were getting too heavy and too shiny anyway.
Hvede's land tends to be the safehouse for Listens- Well , the Hermit, and their rescues; a dry barn to drop a newfound calf in, sometimes a rug by the fire to curl up and nap on in the dreariest months. She is a coarse and no nonsense friend, sometimes ribbing them for their expectations of her- or at least for keeping such strangers in the in-between times! but a loyal and reliable one who without fail finds the perfect place for strays, troll and human and rukaan alike.
