Description
I completely agree with this statement. But I do want to make the point that these words are NOT originally mine. They belong to Darkman140. Since they are the one who stated it first, I would like to link you to the original comment: [link]Please take up any complaints you have with the person who stated it, not me.
There is a blue version of this stamp in my gallery if you don't care for pink.

Well, what religions person is going to take this without getting mad?
From getting mad, they will summon up a storm of BS, which will make you mad... and a cycle is made!
What don't you get?

The religious people are the one's who flamed first. I am going to retaliate when someone tells me I am a piece of shit because I don't believe in their god.
As soon as the religious stop trying to shove their beliefs in my face, and in the government among other things, I will stop. As will most of the other atheists I assume.

And when did flaming solve anything?
The way I see it, people can continue to support a childish scream fest,
Or,
We can break down this age old tradition by getting those who are ignorant to think. That's all it takes for them to see this Santa Claus Myth. Instead of thinking up of insults, I diplomatically talk to (non crazy) people I happen to meet without treating them like idiots, and sometimes I get friends to convince themselves that their formal faith was ridiculous.
I know it's pretty bad in America, and it must be hard if people are calling you a "godless piece of shit" in your face, but making insane people angry will only make them more insane and dangerous. Just like any other asshole, you gotta be the better person and not sink to their level.
At least that's what I think.

You are only going to piss mad man off with "these remarks." (Forgot what the stamp said now)
So they are going to scream even louder with their BS.
And kids are going to get angry and scream even louder with more remarks to piss them off.
And so both sides are just going to get louder and louder, creating a childish scream fest.
That's my opinion, I'm an atheist going against the main stream of how to be one. I'm just throwing my two cents. That's what commenting is for.

One thing i find hilarious is when when people point out that the Prophet Mohammed was a pedophile because he was married to a nine year old girl, but then I start to remember that millions worship the Pope, a man who protected and defended pedophiles for years.
In short, all religion is guilty

Oh some communists states tried to enforce atheism upon the population because religion was seen as a hindrance. There was one country (can't remember the name) that started executing religious people (so I've heard).
I believe Russia was one of those states, and that's why Christfags like to bring up Stalin as part of the "atrocities of atheism" spiel.

All that stuff is also why they always seem to assume that if you're an atheist you want to make all religion illegal.
Sure, I want churches to pay taxes like the glorified social clubs they are, and I want the special clauses taken out of the laws (e.g. take arson for instance, the punishment for burning down an unoccupied building ranges from a slap on the wrist to 20 years, but it just so happens to be a church, you get life) but I don't want to take anyone's right to believe whatever stupid thing they want.
I just want them to freaking realize America isn't a Theocracy!

Yea, I actually got a problem with this.
I could stretch my argument for entirety now but the main thing here is, all of those crimes which were listed is nowhere linked to a religion.
An atheist can be up to murder, homophobia, phedophilia etc too, you just need to be a human for this.
And witch hunt? That's from a past time where atheism wasn't even known, or at least not common. This happened a few hundred years ago or more when the people were way more superstitious (and dumb).
