Description This is something that I wanted to do for a while now. Here, I've enhanced all the select icons from MK3 & UMK3. Some of this enhancement are subtle, while others are quite drastic. What I found challenging about this was; either to save memory inside the game, is that the color pixel count was no greater than 128 colors. That being said, some enhancement on the character icons include background color, pixel corrections, as well as other stuff. As an added bonus (of sorts), I also added all the color swapped M.U.G.E.N Ninjas, Robots, and Female Ninjas. Enjoy.

P.S.: The only select icon, I didn't change is Motaro. he does not needed. Period.

UPDATE 10/1/2018: Respecting LEANZX I've removed Goro and Kintaro portraits until further noticed.

cool, usuario español! concuerdo, un trabajo vale la pena cuando lo terminas, aunque sea lo más difícil.

pd: de paso, en varios deviants tuyos he visto que te molestaba el hecho de que no había iconos de rain, noob y cage en calidad arcade.

..y ahora esos iconos existen en mi deviantart, con el limite y colores originales y sin tanto blur.

Yo tambie tengo hecho los iconos de Noob, Rain y Cage en calidad "arcade". Y aun asi en este momento todavia sigo tratando de mejorar esos iconons. 

- Cage tiene pasado el limite de colores
- Noob Saibot necesita parecerse aun mas al version de MK Trilogy
- Rain que se quede como esta aca, en mi opinion no hacia falta ese icono boludo. Si el icono de Smoke Humano es el mismo que el de Sub-Zero, entonces por que no hacer lo mismo con Rain usando el icono de Reptile.

me gusto el segundo icono que hiciste de noob de paso.

sobre mis iconos:
- me habré pasado por unos poquitos colores, pero lo voy a arreglar xd
- el icono de noob es el mismo de mk trilogy psx, solo lo retoque un poco en los bordes
- el icono de rain con un portrait de reptile ya existe, aunque yo preferi redibujar el borroso y tratar de mejorarle la calidad. tal vez haga mezcla del icono de reptile con el de rain mkt.

ahhh, jajaja. aunque ya actualize mis iconos, pero mejor subo la actualización cuando redibuje los de goro & kintaro, así no hay tantas actualizaciones de los mismos iconos xd

As for portraits with 2K colors, launcher doesn't support palettes.) And nobody of MKTX developers (with some exception) cared about optimization. I never liked Shao Kahn anyway, so created personal version. Can be checked on column in MKP updates or private MKTX videos. More.. Repeat of arcade 'stylistics' doesn't make much sense. Of course, if you do not insert portraits in there. In addition to 128 colors hardware has limitations about colors. As for 1-7 day I guess way too much for such changes. Not hard to recolor everything while using layers in Adobe Photoshop. Thanks for your response.

You should remove MKTX portraits (Goro, Kintaro) cause you never asked permission. Also Shao Kahn's portrait looks suspiciously familiar. It doesn't look as serious work, more like compilation of what you seen in network.

In regards to the Shao Kahn's. Yes, I used the MKTX version as reference when editing the original one. As I said before in the description, the reason as to why I chose the portraits to be no more than 128 color palettes, is because the original arcade portraits (except Shao Kahn ironically) never pass that threshold, and I want it to keep it consistent with the arcade. A lot of Mortal Kombat M.U.G.E.N. games I've played, most of their portraits didn't followed that consistency, weather by a little or a lot. MKTX Shao Kahn portrait had almost 2000 color palettes.

In regards to the Goro and Kintaro portraits, you're correct. I tried to Posterize it reducing the color palette. I'll remove them, and hopefully make better ones.

In regards to your critique of not being "serious work"... I'll agree to an extend. Yes, you can say that I take inspiration from the network; fact is a lot of people do. However, calling this not serious work... I have to disagree. It's not easy giving this portraits a new paint job, while also looking closely trying to remove color pixels that were added by said process, figuring out what works and what doesn't. Most of the original ones took me 1-7 day to enhance. True it's the same as making an original portrait like Fujin, Sareena, or Quan-Chi for that matter, but I'm still content with it. I hope this cleared up your concerns.
