Whoa something worthy of DA finally!So it was originally a sketch, then turned into an inked picture, then turned into a painting. I didn't want a stock grey background but I also was lazy. Bam.
Sorry and welcome to all the new folks! I have a tendency to die sporadically, then re-emerge like a brilliant phoenix. Or turd, take your pick.

Great composition and expression in this one. If I can try and point out a place to improve, I see a giant tome, and I see a mage-like gesture which tells us that, thanks to magic, he's not falling to his death. Perhaps show us some concrete magical effect actually slowing him, such as ethereal ghosts or what not

Thank you for your comment! Though actually by nature he is completely non-magical. It was intended as just a character drawing that I slapped a background into. He is, quite literally, falling to his death. He'll probably notice eventually. Maybe.
