The funny thing is, that I can so see this happening. In GT when a few dudes were hitting on Bra, Vegeta was glaring at them and was like 'don't even think about it' to them. It was cool

Well that and by the time she was born he had already been whipped for YEARS! Plus most of her childhood there weren't really any battles to get him riled up. So she lucked out being second born. Not only did she not have to fight killer androids and other crap she got the whipped father who had nothing better to do than dote on his daughter.

Yeah if you think about it Vegeta is a much better father than Gohan. Gohan is hardly ever around. Once because he decided it was better for him to stay dead for nonsense reasons. And another time he leaves his family to train Uub in his own village even though he could have just stayed home and used instant transmission to go to Uub when it was time for training. Plus since he clearly has no job they are probably living off of Chi Chi's father since he's a king. So yeah the only way Goku could be a worse father would be if he was abusive. Also InΒ Chi Chi's case sheΒ isn't the worst mother but clearly she was far too over protective and controlling of him. He couldn't do anything for himself until Piccolo trained him.
