Wow you have watch ,you have good stuff heres a good question how do you handle proportions?its my main problem
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
palmereap In reply to JPremier [2010-08-08 18:55:45 +0000 UTC]
lol THanks
With proportions I just do the basic shapes first, till I'm Happy with it then I move on.
Example: [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] [link]
Things like this help me keep proportion when drawing.
If you have any other questions...I'm always welcome to them

hmmm..so you use tablet...do you practice on paper, or only draw digitally?
The proportions in this one aren't to bad, it's mainly the anatomy which is the problem.
For example, the biceps need to look like muscles, but now they more look like imitation muscles. not trying to be funny...
in this image: [link] you can see the way the line of her muscles flow.
with yours the main problem is that you're missing lines that need to be drawn to define the body and muscles.
In the examples below, you can see the other lines drawn to defines the body. Personally I think the drawing you showed me proportions are alight. It might not be perfect yet, but the more you draw, the easier it becomes.

I think you just made the holy grail of tutorials, even though I didn't understand one bit (im not a photoshop user... Paint shop pro 7 xD). Your style is amazing, and looks just as good if not better than the original.

lol XD lol
To me your art looks good ...really good..
especially [link]
Because, your art looks brushed, slightly more realist, compared to mine lol.
Just continue going into more details, and experiment with many techniques, like you already are . borrow real life, what makes things look awesome to you
...
sorry, there's no simple answer lol....
Just keep on going further into detail in your art and push your self to do thing you wouldn't normally do.
You'll probably find something you like even better
I hope that answers your question. If if doesn't, ask more questions
lol
