maybe i should have put this in the tutorial gallery XDi always ask people how they pick watermelons. my brother in law has a triad he named after him. XD
my father slaps the poor thing and tries pick to a reverberant sound (i was always amazed by this XXDD)
My maid says the knot must be really dry.
I always ask the guy thats selling them (at the saturday fair) to pick one for me, its a great technique although its not really a technique XD, if go to the supermarket im lost.
size must have something to do too. forgot it XXXDD

Great Comic! I worked in the Produce Department of our local store for 5 years. I have cut thousands of watermelon (no I am not exaggerating lol) I found that thumping really does work MOST of the time. The more hollow it sounds the better but my favorite technique is cutting it in half. I won't buy a watermelon until the clerk cuts it in half which they will do if they want a sale. Just a tip

I think it is easier to transport because you can put them each in a bag whereas if you had 1 big one you would have to carry it all at once. Watermelons can get heavy. Now you're making me want watermelons lol
