i am nothing without You.-
this piece is pretty rough but i think it captures just a little of my current feelings.
you know, sometimes you're proud and you don't even realize it. You think you deserve something because you worked hard-- "so why didn't I get it? I thought I was doing it for You" --but if we're really honest, it's still just a selfish desire that we try to justify by attributing it to God. And though we may not say it, we think: "God owes me this! I should have--" this, or that, --when the truth of the matter is that everything is through God's grace. Everything we receive is by His grace: every achievement, every blessing, every small act of righteousness we think we've managed - even every breath we take. It's all Him.
I am nothing.

I liked the drawing...Then I read the description and loved it.
It's very true, and I've definitely been there. God puts desires in our hearts, He gives us the inspiration to put things into action. Though, in the end, if we feel disappointed when we don't get certain things we think we need, it might be a sign our hearts aren't in the right place; loving Him for His gifts rather than for His sake alone.
However, I know that if He plants a desire in our hearts, He will fulfill it in the best way if we trust in Him, because He didn't place it there in vain...Also, it will be in His timing, not ours...no matter how hard we work at it.

Gosh, you really never fail to impress...Haha, just when I think I've faved everything in your gallery, I find more of your drawings that I didn't see before! And I love that, because all of your drawings are fantastic!
I really like how this one captures a moment of both despondency and enlightenment. The colors really bring that out, and I adore it.
