Planet Smasherβs original inner circle included Baron Von Dubstep (before he started calling himself baron), Chainsaw Charlie, a beelzebug named Johnny Trouble who can wield an absurd amount of knives, an argosaur named Big D, and a sneal named ICE, wielding brass knuckles roughly a foot across(Ice never actually appeared in the comic, and Big D and Johnny only showed up in a couple of panels in the background.)

i love your unique creature designs! and how all these guys' colors feel cohesive.
the checkerboard pattern for your background makes the picture feel a little busy, especially considering the number of characters and their active poses. it makes it hard to focus on details, like the textures you gave all the characters. next time it might be easier to keep the attention on your characters if you use less contrasting colors or patterns in the background.

Normally I would have used a more subtle background, but given that Planet Smasher and his henchmen are associated with that pattern (and ska in general) I figured it would be appropriate.
I guess I could have toned it down a bit, but then it might blend with their clothes too much?
I dunno, maybe I'll add a heavy outline or something...

the heavy outline might work! it's a tough balance, keeping your motifs while still keeping them "out of the way" in a way.Β
