i usually have alot of fun with the upper body, like the head scruff, and forelegs, sometimes the ribcage, but once i get to the back end im like, just throw on a butt, it will look fine, w/e.
and then i do and im like all paranoid afterwords. oh well. i expect that its something that will have to eventually come to me (im just having trouble finding the same amount of interest that i put into the upper half as the lower one.)

Oooh, me too...me too. I actually just got a lot more comfortable with doing hips and hind legs. Until just recently, I'd get the first half of the body decent, then the back end would tie me up in knots. T_T Sometimes I could use the tail to cover part of it and save me the stress of trying to figure it out. Othertimes the pose wouldn't allow such an easy escape so I'd just try and make the tail look extra nice in hoping that it would draw peoples' attentions away from the less than perfect hindquarters of the animal. XD Anyway, I'm over that now for the most part. Hang in there and keep practicing, you'll get it too I'm sure.
