Comic for the first challenge held over at ! Check out everyone else's comics there too! Maybe even join. It's really fun! >w<~♥My blocks were:
Your comic must have at least three characters, all of whom speak in every panel.
Include a very detailed background in the last panel.
I'd really like to see you use only a warm palette in your work, with a single cool colour for contrast. Whether you include black and white is up to you.
I know everyone else had more of a strip type comic, but I couldn't get this idea out of my head. QwQ Especially since people my age are up and moving to different colleges. Kinda melancholy, but whatever.
Artwise, I tried to do some handlettering. It didn't turn out so great on account of I did it all in one sitting and didn't have much patience for it. :I But it's a start. Regardless, hope you enjoy.

So. Finally getting around to commenting on this!
I really like the idea of the comic. It's short and simple, but works really well, as people can easily identify with friends drifting away into schools or jobs. Autumn being the only cold color is a great contrast.
The only things that kinda bothered me are Autumn's neck in the 8th panel and how all of the colors are very saturated (though you could disregard this point, as color is a medium I don't really understand. :I)
Your panels are solid as ever and the last panel stretched across the bottom of the page, while the last sentence lingers, comes over as pretty powerful. (That sounded more pretentious than anything else. >_<)

Yeah that is my least favorite panel (oh gosh, not even her neck what happened to her FACE?!). Color is also my weakness. QwQ;;; Thanks for pointing it out, though, I know what you mean (I just don't know how to fix it).

I hear ya on colour. But I think in a autumn setting the colors would need to be a little less saturated to feel more natural. It's all about experimentation and understanding of the setting, I guess. And that takes time.

Like Hex said, you really went above and beyond and encapsulated the theme of Autumn in a really clever and complex away. I really thought the handlettering turned out great- it really works well with the story and characters. I love how you used the palette restrictions on the backgrounds.

You've captured a certain melancholic feel to this piece which is very true to life: change can be hard. And the dialogue feels real. I have to say, I adore this.

I like Mitchell already ;u; I think the warm palette is really successful without being too obvious! And the dialogue really flows, I would have had a terrible time making sure everyone speaks in each panel.
