I'd say that he's the only character of the movie that blended intelligence and sanity. The heroes are gallant and all, but not particularly cunning. Easily fooled. Scar, despite his malevolence, is my favourite as well. And you just KNOW that his hatred seeks revenge, not just power. Deep guy

I generally prefer evil characters, because the 'goodys' are always portrayed as these cheesy all good, peace lovers -.- I would of loved to have known what made him so evil. When I first watched the movie, he brought a chill to my spine, especially when he was watching the hyenas go and try kill Simba and Nala in the elevant graveyard, it just shows how determined he is. :3
