I actually have more than one original character, guys, it's just that Sam is really easy to use and draw when I'm messing around with ideas. He's basically my default dork.

I was messing around with re-translating my Wolf Country cast to an alternate universe 17th-18th century(?) fantasy setting for fun, and Sam basically ended up as a traveling doctor(?) from not!China who travels around the world ruining social gatherings by being incredibly out-of-characterobnoxious and dissing their beverages. (For context on the top comic, Asian teacups don't have handles and AU!Sam thinks teacups with handles are straight bullshit.)
Also he speaks in modern English because researching period-authentic speech is hard and also dumb.

He might have ulterior motives for traveling around the world and asking people really strange questions that makes them react with hostility.

He might have taken that vest off of some dude who got mysteriously eaten.

Also I drew a dog for some reason.
