I'm not good with critiques and I think the coloring looks great regardless, but you can try working more with lighting and some effects to make the color really pop out.

Ahh yes, someone else pointed that out too. I think I need to learn about all those extra effects and such. Haha I'm still fairly new to digital art so I guess that's to be expected.

and maybe if you want better colours you should try using the special effects in your drawing program, like when i use photoshop i use stuff like Overlay, Multiple, Darken and stuff like that a lot! it definitely changes a lot in the pictureΒ Β
even if you don't use photoshop I'm sure Gimp or Paint has features like that tooΒ Β good luck!

ohhh you use sai? i really like the colouring in sai, perhaps because they have different brushes compared to photoshop, it just feels softer in sai somehowΒ

oh i see! i wanted to use SAI originally as well but i heard from someone that it doesn't work on mac, and plus my father already downloaded photoshop for me, so i just stuck with it ahahhaa
hmm well i kinda understand that, i was REALLY intimidated at first and i understood NOTHING about the program as i never used photoshop before either. (my first drawing took soooo long to do 'cuz i kept mistaking the functions and brush settings lol)
but don't worry after watching some tutorials on youtube it really isn't as scary as it looks. I'm sure with enough practice you'll be able to turn it into your very own art playground!Β Β
