Description You rip apart our family like a flower,
Petal by petal, decreasing our power.
We float away, scattered in the wind
So you can escape again and again.
A flower cannot grow in whiskey,
Or thrive in the darkness of infidelity,
Or rise up through the soil of neglect,
So maybe you should leave so I can forget
Watching you jump from affair to affair,
Wishing and wanting you to be there.
I understand I'm not worth your time,
So take what's yours and leave what's mine.
And if you have an ounce of dignity,
Please don't bother coming back to me,
Because by the time you want to be a dad,
It'll be too late and I'll be glad,
Because in the time you wasted, hour by hour,
I spent it regrowing daddy's flower.
