I had an old friend over recently, a flaming fag to whom I was once a fag hag (or as I prefer, "fruit fly"). That was high school, though.
He moved away for university, I developed a new identity. I work at Starbucks, I'm happy.
"Good lord," he says, looking at my bookshelves, "You do read a lot of Jane Austin.". "You do drink a lot of wine." He says, observing the three bottles I had on the go. "Fiona Apple, Amy Winehouse....You listen to single chick music!" And he'd hit the nail on the head. I'm a single girl. When your platonic gender non specific life partner moves away, you're single. It was hard for me to feel I mattered without a penis back then, seriously, I was just some twisted mother figure to the gay community, a blip on their testosterone powered radars. But now I realize that the things I find wonderful, all the little things, do matter, because I matter, and I celebrate them. Reading Jane Austen with a glass of red while listening to Amy makes for a lovely Tuesday evening.
I drew this, .......not that anyone is still reading this garbage, ....I drew this to showcase all the lovely things about being a single girl, and to convince my fag friend that he really must try it!.......not that I wouldn't trade it all for a cock right now, but.....er, enjoy the picture.
