Sharp lines, soft lighting, and a repeated theme of angles throughout the piece make this visually striking and atmospheric to boot. This evokes a universe and a story, and makes me want to explore them both. Me gusta!

One more thing: I get the same creepy, asymmetrical menace from this design as I did from the warrior-mecha in "Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within." This is Badass Mecha! ^__^

I really like this design. It looks like it would fold down into a seemingly random form, almost like a metallic crystal. I don't know what the remaining pieces on the upper right side would rotate and expose, but my guess is that it would be something deadly!
I also am floored by the brushed-metal grain on the most highlighted surfaces. To echo AlfaXT, what did you do to create that texture? It adds a lot of mass in conjuction with the greys.
