Description So, I added a background. This makes my first background in addition to my first oil pastel. I'm not sure which I like better, but I suppose there's no going back. Haha.

This is so nicely done. How did you get the colouring so even with no gaps? That is something I need to work on so I am looking for pointers. I usually use pencil crayons though. I guess it might be easier with oil pastels. Oh well if you DO have any pointers for me that would be great.

I love this piece it is so well done and I love the expression in the eyes of the parrots ^^.

Thanks! For the blending, in addition to using my fingers, I used blending stumps. They're very inexpensive and the small point helps to get into the small spaces. Here's a link to the ones I have: [link] They might help you. Word of advice though, make sure to always use different ends for different colors. That way you won't get a hard to undo streak of blue in your white, for example. =]
