Hi guys, I'm back with another template!Some of you requested a template for a lion rund-cycle, so here it is! I used my already quite popular animation of Novo running as a base for this, but I made some improvements to the animation, and obviously it's now much cleaner and smoother
And this lion isn't as, uhm.. fluffy.. as Novo is. And just a little note/thing: I know it's completely possible for anyone to just trace that little preview-thing, but if you want to help support me and be awesome you wouldn't do that, right? ;v; Please play nice and help a poor animation-student out by buying the content <3 thanks!
Also thanks to Magnus (my bf) for making the cute layout for the template image above! Manes are beards, apparently.
The download comes as a .zip-file, containing:
- 1 PSD-file with all frames (arranged and ready for animating)
- 1 folder with all 14 frames as normal .JPG-files
- 1 folder with all 14 frames as transparent .PNG-file
And you can get it all for the ridiculously affordable sum of 300 points!

The template consists of 14 frames, and it's recommended that you run it at 12 frames per second for it to look the most natural. It can also be run on 24 fps, but your lion might look a bit hyper in that case.
This is obviously a male lion, so I will try and make a lioness/tiger sometime in the future. If you can't wait though you are free to change it however you want to make it look more feminine or masculine, or smaller or bigger or fatter or thinner or- whatever you want! once you've bought it, it's yours to do whatever your heart desires

This isn't a matter of opinion. I know what smooth is because I myself am an animator. And this isn't nearly that smooth. His other animal run in the description is more smooth, but thats not because of how many frames he used, it's because he made more things happen per frame. And to top it off, this lion run is wobbly. So, no, this isn't my opinion.

I appreciate your humble opinion, and I agree that it's not perfect. Though consider that I'm animating more complex designs with volumes, styles and secondary motion, which is a greater challenge than animating stickmen. Also I'm a "she".

I have no trouble animating things like this. I've made several tests, just never posted them as I want to post more full content. But even though they are stickmen, they follow every rule of physics and animation that a full person should. I can guarantee an animator who animates the smoke effects in the Transformers series knows a lot more about animation than both of us, yet he animates an inanimate object that just moves. The thing is, the concepts I learn from stuff like stickman carries over to this. I wouldn't be able to notice "imperfections" if I didn't have some insight of what is done well and what isn't. I'm sure both of us can agree that someone with no animation experience does not see animated content the same way we do.

It is well animated in MY opinion i dont care if it isnt to a higher skilled animator
I like it and theres nothing wrong with that
