Name: Byron [bye-ron]
Species: Gargoyle.
Gender: Male.
Age: Unknown. Has been around since very early societies. An eternal creature.
Size: 2m tall standing.
Speech: Raspy, husky, sly, has a noticeable hiss in his voice and draws out his words a lot.
Personality: Sly, rebellious, deceiving and quite the trouble-maker. Immature at times, however is very quick thinking and cunning. Enjoys playing tricks on mortals, more specifically, humans – even the children or elderly. Has no shame when it comes to humiliating others.
Physical Features/Abilities: During the night, his joints and muscles are free to do as they please. This is when he is active. However, when the sun rises, this creature turns to a dormant stage. His body hardens to literal stone and he is forced to stay in whatever position he was in when the sun rose for the entire day. He is known to use this to his advantage - perching in inappropriate places or poses.
Ongoing Story: The only one immune to Byron’s devious ways is his fellow Gargoyle and whom he considers a brother, Braxton. The two of them are constantly scheming up pranks to torment humans unlucky enough to cross their paths. If you find one, the other is likely not far behind. They enjoy taunting humans silly enough to approach, mistaking them for simple statues. They are known to try to convince people to give up their religious ways, or simply whisper lies about their personal life into their ear – trying to make them rethink their life choices. No one recalls any way these creatures could have known anything about their personal life, but most do recall seeing strange statues perched on high buildings on their way into town. Their ears are incredibly sensitive, even during the day when they are dormant. The two of them do have a rather silly habit of mistaking human-made statues for other living gargoyles, or similar creatures. They may try to communicate with these statues, but once they realize their faults, they have been known to smash it to smithereens.
Notable differences between the two: Byron is much slender, while Braxton is much more stout and well built. Byron has an earring on his left ear, while Braxton’s is on his right. The colours of their cloth is inverted. Braxton has rosary beads around his neck, while Byron does not.
