Ken already made consider to be alone when his bond with his team was distant so he does not know what to trust anymore for what his knowledge was secretive. When Dr. Halsey came to him and has the gift for him which its an implant surgery for himself only from someone he know who. He accept and ready for the implant before going to mission.

Adulthood: During the Human-Covenant War, he discovered the files of two candidates: The Xian Sisters, Raine-B312 and Shaine-D212, in the SPARTAN-III program. He cannot believe his eyes and truth that they're {information cut}. He kept the secret to himself from everyone and even the Xian Sisters about him. Further years later, when he's on mission against the Covenant are raiding to rebels outpost to get an intel. He wipe the intelligences from the rebels and Covenant which his mission was success. Until the days came, the UNSC and ONI comes to him and arrest him for no reason why until they discovered something unexpected in the files... he didn't do such things to gave away nor killing his own. He gave up and let the jury make the decision for himself(Ken).
