"Kion was disgusted at his father. How could he not allow Jasiri and her clan into the pridelands. They were no different from Kion or the other carnivores they would follow Simbas rules. Unlike Janja and his clan they respected the circle of life and would never do the things they would.

But with Simba, some wounds never healed. Still suffering from the anguish of what happened on the day his father died, he told Kion no. During his time with Timon and Pumbaa in the jungle he hid his sadness and anger, never talking about it. Who would he talk about it to?

The grief he felt never went away and he blamed his fathers death on the hyenas as much as Scar.

After saying no, Kion told Simba with fierce vitriol "You can't blame Jasiri for something she did not do!" Jasiri nuzzled up to Kion, and Simba went into a bit of shock. Kion was right. He didn't want to admit it.

Simba walked back to pride rock, head hanging low in shame. He cried himself to sleep for the first time since his father died. He knew he was wrong. Could he ever admit it?"
