Description
So this is one of your generic SW (shrunken/small woman) types of comic: woman shrinks (or is small), man finds woman...and the adventure beginsMeet Rosé and Merlot (ohhhhh, can you guess what I had when I thought of this? That's right: scotch.) and they are your primary characters for this small performance (literally 3 pages long).
So being such a generic type of story, I thought I might spice it up with some verse (which, itself, isn't that great, I admit, but, hey, it's something. And I'm shit with poetry
Speech-bubbles probably would have ruined it, so I left the dialogue as it was, so here's to hoping you'll know who is saying what.
---
As for what made me do this: namely an attempt to get my art mojo back, and boredom. Next, is to work on perspective (more of that in page 2 and 3). And finally, to get the poetic juices flowing, nice and sticky.
---
Add: bahahaha, it's a blonde Knight
Add2: Hopefully that helps.
---
In case you can't read it:
Rosé:
Eyes and ears!
Eyes and ears!
I beg attention
to my direction;
excuse my interjection--
I need your eyes and ears!
Merlot:
My ears are yours, but not my eyes.
Be I blind, or are you hidden?
A figure I shall recognise?
Or one that be, 'til now, forbidden?
Rosé:
Ah, sir, I must first know
that be you taken by temptation so?
For to you, then, I will not go,
and leave I'll take-- you sha'n't follow.
Merlot:
Wait, I plea! my mind is clear
of all but wishes to be of aid.
Be sound that you've nought to fear:
please, I beg, be not afraid.
Rosé:
I pray you be of golden word,
and I of judgement true.
I shall reveal myself to you.
But there is one thing I pray you do:
that you not flee from this sight absurd.

Hm, in my opinion I think at least translucent speech bubbles would have helped so we can who is talking to who. But if that's not your intention then i understand.
Anyway I really love this! I can't wait to see what happens next. :3

PantsPhD In reply to QueenOfMallets [2010-02-16 00:41:55 +0000 UTC]
I knew leaving the text as it was would be a problem x_x but I changed the colour instead, since speech-bubbles (even translucent) made the pic a bit bulky, so hopefully this helps. But thank you for the suggestion, my dear! ^__^ It only occurred to me this morning that Photoshop does not own ME! I am not its bitch!
Next page up soon, hopefully ^____^

huh..thats a really interesting idea Anty. writing the speech in
poetry form gives the story a Shakespearian feel. though if i
can suggest making their dialogue different colors from each
other? >_> good luck finishing!

lol! yes Shakespeare. XD Im not an expert in poetry at all, but i have to say that more I read the
lines the more clever it becomes....which is in part because Im horrible at reading
classical/Shakespearian poetry and have to read such types several times to get it. but I really like
how your lines flow and just.......fit so well with it all I guess. //<' ..heh...its like 2am and my
vocabulary seems to be lacking right now..sorry.

The Grammar Nazi in me asks if you meant for it to be "Eyes and ears" in the 1st panel, and is under the impression that it's spelled "naught" in the 6th panel.
Otherwise, hahahaha I actually thought it was a new look for Tyreden for some reason. >___<;;

PantsPhD In reply to TheBrigeeda [2010-02-16 00:30:27 +0000 UTC]
Typo's fixed, but "nought" is correct-- it refers to zero (or a circle, if you will), or nothing. Funny too, because I was thinking of dough-noughts just last night...mmmmm...
Well, you know <_< ... >_> *whispers* I was actually thinking of giving him a make-over...but that's still a consideration o_o *nods*

Checked with Senor Dictionary.com, turns out either is correct. My Grammar Nazi is weeping for not knowing that.
Hopefully not too much of a make-over! XD

Yeah, I checked my pocket dictionary (which SO doesn't fit in one's pocket!). It didn't even have the NAU- equivalent, but it's an Australian version, so we just use the NOU- version.
Oh my, of course not. He'll still have his pretty face ^_^
