Fanart gift for (Formely Skunk-Works). His OCs Megan Hamasaki and Jacqueline Smith in current/near future USMC and US Army gear. Took this project as a good chance to draw some of the US military's current infantry gear.

Also went for this project as a tribute to WBD since it was his art that inspired me to start drawing more seriously and to follow further improvement of my style and technique at the time (2006). Even made my deviantart account to follow him. So yeah stalker much xD

Not much to add. This project was also a pathfinder to refine concepts on digital inking and coloring and I think I'm nailing it down. Gonna drop traditional inking and switch back to the pen tool because post scanning processes have degraded the quality of the original drawing. The time put into inking the drawing by hand with drawing pens did not yield the results in time saving I was hoping for so we're reverting to just using Photoshop's pen tool. The coloring process is a lot better but can still be improved. Did not do a final color or brightness correction as I usually end up with over-saturated picture so this time I chose not to. The results are good I think.
