I can truly imagine people's jaws dropping when they see this shot, for most have never seen a beach with just shells! This is exactly my reaction, since I've been to so many beaches, including the ones by Lake Michigan, but none without sand. I am so used to sandy beaches and cannot imagine going to a beach without sand! e.deviantart.com/emoticons/l/l⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Looking at the shells, especially the ones in the foreground, makes me want to reach out and touch them. I wonder how they truly feel and whether or not they're fragile. The details of the shells are so profound that the colors, shapes, and textures can be seen very well. I feel like picking one out so that I can look at it very closely for its unique characteristics. I wonder how it feels to walk barefoot on the shells and whether or not it is more difficult to walk on them than on sand.
The curved shell-filled beach and the lake truly complement with each other and give the viewer the feeling of being there in person. The blue color of the lake also complements with the warm, soft colors of the beach.
The beach as shown all the way out adds an extremely interesting perspective, especially since it is ALL shells! It is as if hands from above sprinkled massive amounts of shells onto the ground, just like adding too much sprinkles to unbaked cookies!
The light from the evening sun definitely made the shells stand out before the sun disappeared behind the horizon. There is quite bit of life to the shells because of the sun's warm glow.
I know it may be quite difficult to make castles out of shells, but a shell-filled beach is definitely a very special respite from the hustle and bustle of daily living and is very worthy of a visit! e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Wow... thank you!!! This was such an enjoyable experience... visually and tactilly. Your descriptive narrative is better than anything that I can write and certainly conveys the utter feeling of awe... stretched out and feeling the shell's soft support while the evening light continually rolled in with the waves.
