Description
Here it is, my final assignment (thesis work?) in Lybecker Institute of Crafts and Design. This little thing was my life from last December all the way to to the last days of May. I was supposed to upload this month ago, but unfortunately the original file was too big for DA, and I didn't have a film editing program of my own, so you can all thank my friend ~Drazca for letting me use her computer with Adobe After Effects. ^^
Animation, story, narration, voice acting and foaley artistness is by yours truly, the dog barks and growls in fourth scene are free sound effects and the music used was catalogue music, which licence belongs to Lybecker Institute of Craft and Design, and are free to use in projects within Lybecker.
In case you were wondering, the speech is in my mother tongue. That's what Finnish sounds like.
I am now officially diagnosed with animation. Oh, yeah!

this is beautiful. about what I pictured, reading the intro to your comic; if this was a series, I could picture an extended version of this being the opening credits.
the animation is very smooth, with a little cleaning up it would be professional quality. for a project film this is smartly done!

That was really quite something. It reminded me of Watership Down, both in realist and tribalesque origin story animation style. I've been following Wurr for quite a while now, and this is a great trailer for it.

This is beautiful! I love the cute dog and the animation is wonderful and everything about it just awesome! And love that it's in Finnish! Ever since I first heard the language a few years ago I wanted to learn it. XD I put it on my "languages to learn" list.

I love the ending. It's what I really look for in movies and books and stories in general, that sweet, grey area of morality.
Expertly done, and the animation was smooth as silk and beautifully crafted.

Is this traditional? All over this is just fantastic. Those multi eyed wolfs remind of those from "Hiyan Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke."

It is traditional. ^^ It was hand drawn on paper, although colored with computer. Thank yous!

Oh my... congrats on the DD! I saw the "Wurr" title in the DDs, and thought "now, why does that sound familiar?"... and then I remembered!
That is some beautiful traditional animation. I'm so used to everything being done in Flash these days, it's nice to see well-done traditional animation... (I used to animate with pencil, paper, and lightbox so I can just imagine how long this took!)

Thank yous! ^^
I like to animate traditionally. Flash is still something that I haven't yet tamed. I can't remember exactly how long it took to animate this, except for the fourth scene, with the one hellhoound and two dogs jumping at each other. Keeping track of three characters and so many movable bodyparts that it had to be illegal took me two weeks and 101 frames (plus one separate leg, which was forgotten from one frame and managed to remain unnoticed untill it was in coloring stage).
