fsksgkjg my weekend painting for my pictures&words class *O* we were supposed to "use text as a jumping off point" so I chose to do something inspired by Lord of the Flies since I love that book and have yet to draw something based off of it >>
.. I'm not sure if that boy was meant to be a Simon or a Jack. << uhm. it would mean different things depending so. you guys can choose.

It was meant to be Simon. I have a feeling that the symbolism in that is that there is evil in all of us, and the Lord Of The Flies represents the devil. When Simon hallucinates about the LOTF saying "I'm part of you", I think it symbolizes the evil that only he could see in the other boys... the beastie.
Did that make sense?

that's definitely simon for me. kind of like he comes back to life though after being murdered. you've really captured the essence of the story, where innocents are splattered in blood.
