This guy fell out of the clouds for a children's book project. Later he encountered the wind, rocks, a mole, a snail, humans, diamonds, other drops and finally found his lost sister. A lot going on in a drop's life.Free eBook (german only...) :

It's done in painter actually, but I would do it the same way in real watercolor. Using software makes it more comfortable to try variations.

Maybe I'll be able to post more of the book itself – depends on my client's agreement to that because of legal terms. So far I can only share some conceptual work.

Keeping it simple was part of the task - and not as easy as I thought considering that he still had to be a character and not only a drop shape whith mickey mouse gloves. I like that you like him! He sure likes you, too.
