Oh no! The evil royal bitch is about to steal someone's man away! ST0P HU|2Z!!!!!!!!111111111111oneeight438911111111!!....I think the image is mostly self-explanatory, though. It is Sally dressed as Queen Beryl, the quintessential Sailor Moon villain that tried to have Chiba Mamoru as her lover. I guess you can figure out my thoughts of Sally's treatment in the fandom; she get very little respect from the fans. Which is unfortunate.
This is in response to the "SALLY MUST DIE! SONIC BELONGS TO (insert just about everyone else in the Multiverse)" horde in general, but specifically to a batch of stories that I had read recently that pretty much annoyed me to no end. Turning Sally into some evil booby Borg/Elmyra hybrid character whose only goal in life is to smother Sonic and SQUEEEEZE him so tight so his eyeballs pop out...and then goes and sleeps with other people. Not only did that never happen in SatAM (which were what the fics claimed to be working from...huh?) but this also forgets that, in Archie, Sonic was presumed....dead?
Call me crazy, but I think I'd react the same way that Sally did if my boyfriend supposedly died in front of me, then I found out he had actually lived.....and then the same said boyfriend was going out to do the exact same thing that almost killed him to begin with. I wouldn't be too willing to let him do that again.....but then again, what do I know? ;3

Heheh. Would it be wrong to say Sally still looks good in that outfit despite the fact it's based off a villain's look? I know Sally probably isn't too fond of it right now, but I kinda like it. Oh yeah, no, you're not crazy...even if I didn't think of Sally's plight that way. I felt Sally was under strain from her own family wanting her to break up with Sonic and give up fighting on the main lines...even if the comics were extremely sloppy portraying that.

That outfit reminds me of FFX and FF X-2 (Yep there is your FF reference), but I really like the colors. They really stand out and blend in well together.
As for why Sally is treated like the Wicked Witch of the West (Or is it East? Darnit, time to pop the video in again)...yes it is sad, considering she isn't you quintessential bimbo with naught for brains. And the content of those fan fics...umm first of all wouldn't Sonic be more of the type to sleep around. The idiot already ruined Mina's life for the most part and he has hurt Sally as well. In all honesty the problem lies more with the loose cannon Sonic who should really really not get ANY love interests and stay a bachelor, less broken hearts that way...
As for the slap, yeah I'm sure my girlfriend would do the SAME thing if I suddenly vanished for a year and she thought I was dead, only to come back and act like nothing happened...err....
As for those people obsessed with Sonic belongs with whomever: Get a life. If all you can think about how two fictional characters should be together and you are willing to waste time (Lots of it) and energy to argue this point that does not shape the universe. Does not affect the world we live in. In fact does not even matter to the 5. whatever billion rest of us, so why waste your time? People like that just scare me to no end. Obsess over something worthwhile, like why your boyfriend doesn't give a darn who you think a furry thing should be with...
