thank you! id have to say the hair since it was done on printer paper and my dard pencils didnt seem to want to go down as dark as i wanted them to, and thats probably why its the worst part

oooo i hate when that happens. i bought a 9b which is slightly darker (of course) than the 8. i wanted the 10, but the store didn't have it so i had to settle. also ebony pencils work nice for the dark (got that from my old art teacher)

yeah but im kinda reluctant to use ebonys because the one i have smudges so easy! so like you i had to settle but the darkest i have is 8b

pencils just aren't made as dark, or as blendeable as we want them. one of the many downfalls of being a pencil artist...
