Description
Tara was always in a hurry, always had a hundred things going on. She had work, her volunteer position, her cycling team, community theater, her friends... She was running late - as usual - and put her eye drops in as she was also making her morning smoothie... but it wasn’t her eye drops. Those were in the bathroom, and she was in the kitchen, near her windowsill garden, and the small bottle of concentrated chemical plant fertilizer. She didn’t even notice.
It started with a headache at her temples when she was on the train platform, but she assumed it was one of her frequent stress headaches, so she took three Advil and tried to focus on the sales report she was reviewing.
By the first train stop, the light sensitivity was getting pretty bad. By the third stop, she couldn’t really see her phone screen. By her stop, the world had gotten very dark.
Her life was much less busy now, but no less challenging.
