Being honest and authentic in an insane world will get you branded as worse than being a dick, and I do accept and face the consequences of that all the time. I rarely come across an accusation that I've not received before. I've literally heard it all, for the most part. I don't get mad about it, as that would be pointless.Β
Some people think that I am "too political" and the irony is that the opposite is true. Politics is a distraction away from reality. The problem is that at this point, people now believe that the only solutions which can exist, are political solutions and that there can be no solutions any other way. The term "political solution" is an oxymoron because it is politics that creates all of the world's problems. Politics is a cult of celebrity worship.
Anyone who is not American really shouldn't have a conversation with me about freedom. Simply just because it would be a waste of their time, and that their time might be better spent on other things, for their own sake.

I used to consider myself a "first amendment fundamentalist", opposed to every conceivable limitation on freedom of expression. I've come to recognize that "freedom of expression" includes bullying, which I don't condone.
Verbal abuse is not literally the same thing as physical abuse, but it can be just as bad. The line between "merely" telling someone to jump off a bridge vs. driving them to suicide is not super clear.
As for what is humor and what is literal, my dad used to heckle me and then say "Where's your sense of humor?"
I wish I'd had the wit to answer "Where yours goes when I treat you like that."

The first amendment does not come without consequences or restrictions. It was never designed as an impunity card. Any speech or expression which would abridge the speech or expression of another, does not qualify under the first amendment. Harassment also does not qualify, as it is an abridgment of speech and expression.
If I post a joke on my own profile that someone does not like, that is freedom of speech and expression.
If I go to their profile and gas light them and harass them, this is not freedom of speech or expression.
Calls to violence are not freedom of speech or expression.
The idea that the first amendment has no limits or consequences is as tyrannical as political correctness is.
Most people these days just have no clue what freedom of speech even is, because most people don't really understand the constitution or how this country was originally designed. America has long drifted from its original design and intention. It has become an outrage culture shit show.
