Commission forWanted to try something new.. didn't came out the way I wanted. Β I have a video of me painting it but I don't know if its worth editing or posting.

This is too beautiful. This deserves one of my giant comments. so Prepare.
Lets start with the awesomeness that is the pones.
You capture the expression very well. You can clearly tell what is going through both their minds. And I want to add really nice touch with the use of blush. It's a small detail but it really adds to the picture.
The shading is also the right amounts of subtle. They are under an umbrella after all. You are right to contrast less between.
I also really love their eyes. It would go under the expression but it's just really really good so it get 2x mentioning.
Now from the pones the viewer has a choice. And I love how you left both options open. They can choose to go backwards and look at the background or they can stay in the foreground. Personally I stayed at the foreground so I'll continue my words from there.
The main items here are the seastar and the floor covering fabric. I really like how you did the fabric. I have always been jelly of those that can draw fabric wrinkles.Β
So yeah the seastar is incredibly drawn. It's not overwhelmingly detailed so it only attracts as much attention as it needs to.Β
Now for background. "OMG IT AMAZING!"
Is my reaction when I my eyes finally looked at it. I can't really tell where the vanishing point stands it seems to bend when it passes behind the umbrella but noone will notice that so I'll just shh. But other than that the background is extremely well constructed. I love the use of sun and shade on the background mostly but there are many other things too (but this is getting a bit too long). The mountain is great too. Almost didn't notice it but it is there and it is wonderful.
So yeah. This is a great one. And there are things I didn't have time to mention like their manes and wings and the awesomeness that is the sand and water in this thing but yeah.Β
