It is! way better then 3Dmax IMO it does not require to much of time and resources from your computer to get good results on it

To be honest, I don't know much about either program, but I have seen some amazing stuff that was made with C4D. I'm guessing it's not a free program?

It's actually pretty pricey and 3DMAX forget about it,it will run you well over $2000,the latest one cost about $3500 :/

Kinda reminds me of TransformersXD Almost looks like metal pieces.
