Hey! Hi! Im not dead! Just in art block, among other things. I've been in a big transitional period of my life, one which is only just beginning. Lots of changes may happen, and I hope to have making more art be one of them, but unfortunately it isn't a priority. More of a hopeful byproduct of me trying to figure out what is really important to me. I'd like my art to be more integral to my life and my self, but my artistic muscle atrophies quickly, and motivation is sparse lately. Save for a few doodles, my pens have remained mostly capped and my sketchbook untouched and I'm having difficulty in forcing myself to change that. But! Last night I took to avoiding my much easier and effortless vices until my boredom turned into motivation, and managed to make a little doodle. I may post it in the next few days here to help me regain my footing.
I hope everyone is enjoying Spring. I'm trying my best to enjoy it and take it in, to avert my attention from the turmoil and focus on what's slowly become my favourite time of the year. But, much like a spiral, the turmoil is hypnotizing and its difficult to avert my gaze in fear of missing something; some revelation or some foreseeable issue I can avoid. But the longer I look the dizzier I get, and if I don't look away and take in the positives and the often ignored or taken for granted peace, then the turmoil becomes all that there is.
I hope someone enjoys the picture attached to my rambling, and I hope someone enjoys the rambling attached to the picture. I'm not sure if anyone will read this, I like to keep my personal tirades a little hidden, so only those who really want to read it do. If you did read this, hello, I appreciate you, sorry you had to put up with my rambling.
