I think the composition is great for this one, and the capture of a sky that blue makes me long for the start of summer once again, instead of being eased into fall slowly at this point. And for the patience and reflexes in capturing the droplets falling... well, that's just awesome!

thanks for this very detailed and comprehensive comment- the thought you have put into it is very much appreciated ..it was freezing outside at the time of the phot and my fingers had frozen stiff on the trigger (cant take photos with gloves on

You're very welcome. I'm also one who can't take photos with gloves on either, so I can totally sympathize with what you had to go through!

Oh. Still a good pic though. I thought it was a water droplet conceptual piece at first.

NICE action shot of the falling waterdrop. I can't ever get those to come out right at all. It's rediculous. This is perfect. I'm totally diggin the blue.

Another really good Ice photograph. Saturated background works well, very well done with the drops in frame.

Timing it right must have been tricky, did you have to sit and wait for drops and have a few goes at it?

had a few goes at it- the tricky bit was not getting the drops on the lens

Given that we're talking about the result, you obviously got it all worked out in the end!

I used my Canon Powershot Pro1 and it has a fixed 28-200 mm wide angle zoom on it. The camera as a macro and a super macro function- this was taken on super macro..3cm away from the object

oh yes.. people call that a "semi-DSLR". lots of accessories for that camera. since you're submitting lots of beautiful photos, somehow i feel your camera image quality beat my canon 350D..hahaha
