Thanks for the comment . No, not too harsh....It was raining cats and dogs at the time - even though there was also sunshine-the spot you can see is a water drop on the lens-unavoidable. It was a mushroom that came up that morning and was only about 2cm high. The shot was taken using the super macro mode on the canon powershot pro1 which has a fixed 28-200mm lens.

Other angles werent possible as the area was full of brambles and I already had my butt sticking out into the road (the mushroom was literally on the verge of a very narrow lane) and the mushroom was right next to a n oak tree The graininess may be from the size of submission. The original is an 8m pixel shot on ASA100 equivalent, so not sure why its grainy- might be a lot of noise in the shot, as I have not done any processing at all to this - not even auto levels. It is exactly how it was seen by the camera. (Canon require this for their site)

Well it is really good bearing in mind you haven't done any post processing to this. But I think you could have done this photo more justice to PP it before submitting it on dA. The grainyness/noisiness is always a factor that will cause people to think less of a photo, even though it is a good one.

no probs on tje subject of post processing..i did add a watermark..thats not in the camera

Hi,

I have a canon powershot pro 1 digital camera with a built in 28-200 lens and a macro and super macro function on the camera. This shot was shot on supermacro witch allows a closeup distance of 3cm Thanks
