Description A response to an art challenge ("non-conventional evil scientist character") as well as to a (most likely facetious) invitation to a mΓ©nage Γ  trois. As usual, I'm happier with the textures and lighting effects than with the perspective and proportions. I'm working on it, though.

I'd definitely be interested in undergoing such a procedure, despite the risks... πŸ‘€
Beautiful art! I very much like the texture in the brush strokes and the dramatic shading.

When I was first browsing the thumbnail looked much more gentle and nicer than the actual thing. It look like the thing was ill and someone was nursing it back to health. Then I clicked on it and my face went like ._. especially when I saw the stitches and the knife.Β

Did they *hahaha * kill a horse and cut off his head and sowed it to a torso-less man to create a centaur ? Β

not possible this way maybe with some cloning and gen manipulating to form a human lower half into the shape of a horse so the imun system wouldnt reject because it would be born with and doesnt matter anyway and that way reproduction would be possible if you manage to make a female one with the same genes though manipulation of milliion of genes would be nesecary not doable with the technologie we have now maybe in a hundred years this would be quite possible

nice work really inspiring and makes one think about possibilities in science.

can't be cloning or anything because their are stitches on his torso / low body

Praise to the artist!!!

I'm SO giving you a llama for this! The style is so cool. It's like sketchy-looking but the shading is excellent and the coloring is smooth. Plus, what the picture is actually of is kickass!

How are they getting the nerve endings and muscle tissue to connect properly? And what about one body half's immune system rejecting the other? * pause* Oh, right, evil genius science guy. Never mind. Insert some nonsense about nanotechnology or something. Nice stitches, by the way.

But that's just me.

This reminds of that one horror movie (can't remember the name) where this crazy family kills a teenaged boy and sews the top half of his body to a giant fish tail.
Creepy but cool!

Y'know, this looks like a slightly less professional (more back-alley) version of something that happens in a story (well, fanfic) I'm working on.
The main char gets, um, horse-ified as revenge by someone he put in jail and then has to try and adjust to life as something that isn't supposed to exist . . .

Yes, I'm creepin' through your gallery like an invasive Japanese vine in rich fertile southern soil.

(Besides, I think pictures of you as a kid eating jelly would be adorable).

That said, I had to comment (despite a balking fear of what brought this about), because it reminds me of a book you should read: "Geek Love" by Katherine Dunn. It is written in a similarly disturbing and unsettling vein.

Geek Love has occupied the "Favorite Book" spot on my scales for more years than I can remember. It's one of the very few books that really hits the same spot as the kind of visual art I want to create (fine art, not illustration).

Although there was a lot more cutting off of things in that book, and a lot less stitching of them together......

Reminds me of rogue taxidermy. I did this recently with a toy horse and a GI Joe-like action figure. I can still smell the melting plastic.
