Description My Tumblr: [link]

I went on a trip in April to visit my friend along with my friend . ~YunaHellsing 's parents were so awesome to put us up. I loved the entire time I was there.

Well, ~YunaHellsing and her family just happen to be big Whovians so I drew them this little thing while I was there as a gift for putting up with me and *phynix for two whole weeks. I miss them all so much now.

I hope they like the pic as much as I liked making it, considering I had to hog there interwebs in order to get enough reference. Can't be 100% sure about the first doctor's colours but that is how they coloured him for the action figure they put out at some point so it will have to do. I don't quite know enough about every single Doctor in order to have gotten their personalities perfect in this, but I hope I am not too far off.

This was a whole lot of fun to draw. I might wanna try it again.

[EDIT] Holy COW! *Squee!* THANK YOU ALL for all the s! I posted this pic last night and I come back from work today to so many s that there's no way I could thank you all one by one. I'd give my self carpel tunnel and I be typing for hours.

THANK YOU! [/EDIT]

Yup, and 10's pretty okay with that, for the time being of course. ^_^

The Doctor always is. (Or at least that's what he thinks. )

Only accuracy problem I can see is that Six had blond hair, not red. Remember Ten and Eleven's complaints that he's "still not ginger?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to MountainLygon [2012-04-13 19:13:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. 6's hair is actually a darker blond then 5's, at least in the refs I had, but I didn't have a darker yellow at the time so I used the lightest brown I had and then added in the yellow, which turned it kind of orange... >_< Failed, but still, with only one accuracy problem and how hard it was to find colour refs for 1 I am happy with it over all. Could have been worse.

Probably what I should have done, looking at it now years later, is use 8's hair colour for 6 and use 6's for 8. Ah well. Maybe I'll do another pic with all 11 the next time I feel up to drawing so many characters in one pic.

I want more of 8. One movie wasn't enough to really get to know 8.

I hope someday I'll find an audio or book, but I agree, he needs MUCH more screen-time!
(2013, perhaps?)

Well they did recently give 8 a new outfit. I don't think that was just for the books. They totally have to do something with him now that he has a new outfit.

I kind of liked the green coat.

Me too, but it's nice that he has options now. Most Doctors have an alternative outfit, even if it is just the same thing in different colours.

I think they updated it more then that. So it's somewhere between what he wore before and what 9 wore I think. Hold on lemme google it. Here we go: [link]

I like the coat. The messenger bag is okay, but... I like the coat best.

NP. Messenger bags are cool, I just... what would the Doctor carry in there? His Sonic Screwdriver isn't that big, neither is the key to the TARDIS or the Psychic paper... so... what else does he need?

I used to use a huge purse. I ended up carrying way to much around with me and it got so heavy it hurt my shoulder. So I downsized, only I still cram far more into my purse then any one else, even other girls I know, can comprehend.

ParallelPenguins In reply to OliveTheBreloom [2011-11-16 22:49:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh man I don't know if I have enough room on my desk for every thing in my purse. It's not big but I have EVERYTHING in there.

Wallet, change purse, hair brush, hair things (2 ties, a clip, and a net barette), my inhaler, advil, hand sanitizer, keys, ipod, blackberry, nail kit (nail clippers, toe nail clippers, tweezers, scissors, mirror, glasses cleaning cloth, pin, nail file), small emergency sewing kit (in case I loose a button or my pants tear, it's happened and I was never more thankful for the kit), band-aids, chapstick, perfume, deodorant, napkins, clicky pencil, eraser, pen, small note book, small sketch book, small tooth brush, small tooth paste, small calendar, iron pills, sunglasses, feminine products, hand cream, tiny screw driver for my glasses, dsi, action replay, 10+ games for the dsi... yeah I think that's most of it, also a bunch of receipts. And the bag is maybe 8 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 10 inches long. It's just got a lot of compartments so I can keep all that organised. I make sure to carry all that in case I end up crashing at a friend's house with out a night bag, or get stuck some where for a long wait and am very, very bored. I made sure most of it was pocket-sized before I included it in the purse.

Maybe I should do the meme...

OliveTheBreloom In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-11-16 23:07:36 +0000 UTC]

In my current small! purse, I have:

Wallet, A foot of duct tape (folded), hand sanitizey stuff, chap-stick, a large flashlight (a good quality one), a kinda small sketch pad, pen, pencil, gum, bandaids, neosporn, feminine stuff, several twist ties, a back up foot of duct tape, a packet of foil, folded, three birthday candles (don't ask?), some rubber bands, lotion, mini hair conditioner that I thought was lotion for a long time and haven't gotten around to taking out yet (yes, I used it for my hands), Ipod, Headphones, a few asprin, a small pocket knife I use for sharpening pencils and opening packages ([link] ) ,a folded bandana, some matches for the candles (again, don't ask, it has come in handy), a rubber lizard, A DS lite, some pokemon games, a charger cord, a totally useless magnesium sparker (it works, but I have NO situation I could use it in), some quarters, a folded paper with photos of some animals (for drawing reference), a granola bar type health thing, a small sewing kit, an eraser, some buttons, a balloon, a multi tool (scissors, screwdriver, tweesers, ruler and file) and 15 feet of sturdy string.

Probably more stuff, but that is what I can name off the top of my head. I just carry that stuff around because my "crazy prepared" tendencies.

ParallelPenguins In reply to OliveTheBreloom [2011-11-16 23:11:44 +0000 UTC]

LOL. We have the same tendencies... though I can't begin to imagine what you need the duct tape and candles, but it seems no weirder then all the stuff I carry. A tiny shampoo would be a good idea, but that assumes I am comfortable with showering any where but in my own bathroom.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OliveTheBreloom In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-11-16 23:14:23 +0000 UTC]

Duct tape is useful for fixing many things. Trust me, I've had people ask me for it on multiple occasions. This week.

And the candles....I have NO clue, good for impromptu birthday celebrations? Or.... if you get locked outside for a long time?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to OliveTheBreloom [2011-11-16 23:21:57 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if a candle would help me this time of year if I got locked out for a long time. It's too cold and windy for a candle to do much. But if the power went out... maybe.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OliveTheBreloom In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-11-16 23:23:56 +0000 UTC]

Perhaps a short, sturdy one in a metal casing (I used to have one of those in my purse until I deemed it worthless)

Then again, I live in Texas.... so 40* is "cold". (it is currently about 80 in the day and perhaps 70 or 60 at night)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to OliveTheBreloom [2011-11-16 23:49:37 +0000 UTC]

LOL. I live in Manitoba. 40F is... 4.4C... pretty cold for a few weeks ago, but not for this time of year, and not in a month either. By February -40 (which is the same in Fahrenheit as it is in Celsius) will have happened at least twice, or something close to it (with or with out windchill). 80F is 26.6C... not too shabby. Though you guys can get to like... 110F in the summer, right? Which is about 43C... I'd freaking die. If it gets any where near 30C(86F) I damn near pass out. (26C I can handle. 28C(68F) is hell.)

OliveTheBreloom In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-11-17 00:11:51 +0000 UTC]

Manitoba.... that is in Canada, right?

Wow, I would probably freeze to death in the FALL. Just saying.
And yeah- 110* F is pretty common, 120* isn't unheard of either.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to OliveTheBreloom [2011-11-17 00:31:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Directly North of the national border from you I think. Texas is in the Central time zone right? I think so.

Holy crap 120? Yeah... I couldn't live in that. But you wouldn't freeze to death in the fall. You'd just dress in more layers then you ever thought you would, and spend way less time outside for about half the year then you ever thought you would. And you'd probably spend more time watching the weather channel just to find out the temperature before you left because I mean, when it's hot you can always take your hoodie off and have your t shirt underneath and be fine, but when it's cold if you didn't leave the house with enough layers it's not like you can just put more on because you left all that at home. And 120F would look like torture. How the hell do you do get through a day when it's 120F? I mean at 60F I am unbelievably grateful for A/C... 120 would freaking kill me. My electricity bill in the summer would be WAY too high.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

OliveTheBreloom In reply to ParallelPenguins [2011-11-17 00:35:58 +0000 UTC]

Wow, I couldn't stand that.

110 is blue jeans and t shirt weather, perhaps shorts.

120 is either swimming, fleeing to colorado, or staying inside weather.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ParallelPenguins In reply to OliveTheBreloom [2011-11-17 01:32:33 +0000 UTC]

110 would be staying inside weather for me. I don't do well in sunlight let alone heat. I get heatstroke in OUR summers. Holy cow yours would not be fun for me.

If I ever go to Texas I should go in winter. It would be nice to escape the cold anyway.

As for standing the cold, you learn to stand it. No one here really loves an entire Canaidan winter. I think it's one of the things that keeps our country together. We all hate something about winter and we all can't wait for it to end. You can bond over how cold it is an how much snow there is and laugh about it, which is good because if you couldn't you'd probably go postal. I bet handling the heat is something like that.
