These words fall calmly down
Like little epiphany snowflakes

Not the kinds that land on sidewalks or city streets
To make the car wrecks you’ll regret and forget
But the kind that land neatly in little snow man balls
Waiting for creativity to inspire

Only needing the top hat and corn cob pipe
Made by the thoughts of snow man suburbs
Where the 9-5’s make them melt
So all they do is love when they turn to puddles

But sometimes the snowball fights they get into
Remind me of the wars of my youth
Blame games of yesterday
A flurry of sub-zero animosity with mittens off

After the anger leaves like these clouds that dissipate
They’ll wonder where their mittens are
And why their igloos are missing blocks

I know where they’ve gone
I watched it all in my brain binoculars
The ones that see where these snowballs can go
With a little inspiration
