Well, I read the book 'A brave new world' recently and I enjoyed it, they mention Soma in it a lot, its sort of a drug without the bad feeling the day after - The perfect alcohol sort of, feeling good out of it but no day-after feeling .. Makes you go on a 'holiday'.I used a stockphoto of sxc.hu (the clouds) and the rest was just PS. Made some noise gradients and fooled a bit with the pen tool to get the round shape.
It didnt take me too long, but I'm pretty satisfied with the result.

Very nicely done. It doesn't meet my idea of 'Soma'. I've imagined it in green, but my work will appear when I have more time.
As to the picture: nice color-gamma. Very warm colors, which awaken in me a feeling of spring and falling in love (did I say 'falling in love'???

the sky isnt an imitation ... it's a stock photo i've used and blended in with the background....

It's not exactly my interpretation of 'SOMA'. I've imagined it in green, but soon I will post my work. Anyway: I like it nevertheless:

The imitation of sky is not the best I've ever seen. You could work it out a bit more, but it's still nice. Pretty simple imagine, without any effect abuses: that is what I like about it!!!!
