Kayin has a deep-seated need to help anyone he sees in pain, but he's not one to seek out said Hesiod. Most of the time, he just enjoys going with the flow; letting the wind or whatever fate decide where to take him. He's fairly quiet and can read Hesiod and situations as easily as one of his poetry books. If someone comes sits beside him for a chat he can talk until his voice goes raw, but just as happy sitting, silently observing at a lively party. For him, life is traveling for weeks on end, picking up cool things from everywhere, helping those who he sees, and experiencing new things. However, when his adventures take him back home--for however long it is this time--and he take a moment to breathe, to reminisce, to remember all the folks he talked to and helped, he reminds himself to always be kind and generous... and that almost no one can be trusted.

History:
Kayin grew up in a village where the word parents barely meant anything at all. Everyone raised everyone else. Everyone did everything and nobody did nothing. Even so, the village wasn't isolated from outside world, nor was it primitive, and they still did their part for the Sygura Kingdom. The strongest members of the village would spend their days cutting wood and near the end of the month, they'd send the wood off in large bulk; usually in flight carts by five or six villagers. At young age, Kayin found himself to be odd in the sense that he was drawn to more mundane tasks rather than play-fighting in the dirt like most of the Hesiod his age. While his older blood-brother, Kayode, defeated every child challenger that dared to face him, Kayin found a love in books, stories, and poetry, and often times came to listen to the elders that animated tales through their excited voices.
When he came of age to finally leave the village to help with the flight carts with most of the other children, Kayin decided to stay and help at home while nearly half of the villagers were out on their trek. It was during that time that the elders began to talk about history, about the world, about pretty much anything that came to their minds. And Kayin listened. He listen to it all. Until they came upon one subject; the effect of the body on the soul on the mind on the body. It piqued Kayin's curiosity and the elders were more than happy to talk to anyone who would listen. So, that's what he did; he listened. For years, he simply stayed in his village, warm and comfortable, learning and reading, safe and secure. Until he turned 16, and one of his elders encouraged him to take at least one trip out of the village.

So, with a sigh and no little amount arguing--trying to weasel his way out of it for a few more months--Kayin left on a three week trip, with a group including Kayode, to deliver and distribute wood all over the kingdom. It was an enlightening trip, to say least. The large towns, the bigger cities! New food and new sights everywhere! Herbs and spices he had only read about! New plants for healing that he had only been told about! It was all fantastic. But even though this was probably one the biggest things ever, it was near the end of the trip that made the biggest impact.
There had been Hesiod all throughout the trip that he had been able to help. Nothing major, of course, mostly aching stomachs, headaches, and a couple kids with minor scrapes and bruises (also a worried but very pissed off mother). But on the last leg of their trip, flying much faster with an almost empty flying cart, there had been a cry from the ground. An downed older Hesiod, probably in his sixties, lied on the forest floor below them, wing looking mangled but hard to tell from where they were. They landed and Kayin, the only one with some sort of medical knowledge (and even that wasn't too much) rushed to help where he could... only to find that the Hesiod's wing was fine. There was a moment of confusion. Then, less than five minutes later, the whole crew was lying on the ground unconscious; robbed of their money and some with new marring marks. With his head swimming, and most certainly a concussion, Kayode had taken his arm, dragged him to his feet, and delivered him with instructions to help where he could while Kayode himself would find the thieves.

He found the thieves. A rather large group of them. And Kayode, the one who never lost a fight his life, lost that fight. And he has a half mutilated wing to show for it.

His big brother likes to remember him of the good that came out of that trip, and every trip that Kayin tells him about when he comes home. And Kayin tends to give him credit for it, even if he doesn't agree most of the time. But there's still memory burned into his mind of Kayode, wing torn to hell, bleeding out on the grass, speaking incomprehensible softness into the sky while Kayin tries to fix something way out of his league. It never goes away, stuck to him like bitter tree sap. That and, the older he gets, the further away from his village he travels, the more experiences he gains that proves to him that everyone is a liar--it just how much and what they are lying about, Kayin can never figure out. So, as he continued to grow up, he continues to collects new things, continues to enjoys new places, continues to always learn and test new medicinal treatments, he always, always, keeps his guard up.

~His blood-brother Kayode can no longer fly, but can still beat the crap out of him
~Most people don't keep track of who everyone's father is, so it's possible he has more half-siblings that he doesn't know about
~The can knife he wields actually comes from a Hesiod in Cyx as a gift of gratitude for helping their daughter
~He enjoys child coloring books and he will freaking fight you if you say anything about it!

RP methods:
I use lit/paragraph style writing, and usually end up sending quite long replies. But I have no problem with short replies from my partner, and actually can prefer it~
I've never written in script style but, if you truly enjoy that style, I am willing to give it a go! But... you'll probably have to go first, and I'll try to pick up from there?
Mainly, I prefer Deviantart Notes, but I've done Discord now and liked it too!! And Google Docs are nice~
GMT is my timezone, however, I have a very unusual sleeping pattern. Which is usually 24h+ awake followed by 8-12h asleep. So, if you want to do a live RP, please give me a couple days notice! :>
Lastly, sometimes I get spacey or busy, and I won't reply for a few days. Please feel free to come chew my ass out if/when that happens! I won't get mad at all and it helps me a whole lot~
