Great Shot! Was this wild? I am assuming you used zoom? I hope to get some good snake shots when I move to Northern Brazil.

Naah, it was behind glass on a zoo. So i didn't use any zoom. More like macro, 'cause it was like 2 inches from the lens.
But if you move to Brazil, I suggest a zoom to take snake shots. Can get kinda scary (and dangerous) otherwise.

ahh yes
I lived in mid-Brazil most of my life, but the North has more interesting wildlife. And yes, I think I will be investing in a decent telephoto lens

I love how dark this picture is... the snake looks absolutely wicked. Well done.

I saw this at rendo and was amazed at it. it is one of the singularly most dramatic pictures I have seen. the snake is almost dragon like in its pose. really amazing work

Ehm, you wouldn't mind translating that? I mean, I don't speak french. I got that part of "magnificent photo", but the rest?

An excellent shot. I particularly like how you got a picture of the subject in the coiled pose that GTPs are so well known for.
Sort of makes me want one, despite their difficulty to keep.

What a great shot. I would NEVER get that close a snake. Heh, heh. They scare me.

There was a window between him and me, so I wasn't too scared.
Thanks, too!

Woo, I was about to say, I would've peed in my pants if there wasn't a window. It's a beautiful picture of it, looks like something I'd see in National Geographic, or the Discovery Channel.

*weep* it looks so evil! Very striking shot, it caught my attention instantly on the front page, amidst all the other pictures.
