Why is this a DD? It's blurred and low res with no particular artistic merit. There are far better in the 'view more like this' section.
As for it being a stock resource, it might be useful for posing I suppose but useless for manipulations.

This is stock, not art photography. Sharp focus doesn't matter as much (people use stock for much more than just photomanips: I'm an illustrator and work from poor-quality images all the time). As an illustrator I think this is a very well-deserved DD, it shows clear-cut motion and narrative instead of the static poses usually seen in the stock gallery. I'll definitely be collecting this to look at later.

a beautiful bird! I love that you can see it's tail feathers spread and primary feathers pull in as it gets ready to land~

Lizzy23 [2013-06-13 17:47:28 +0000 UTC]
why do they call it a Variable hawk? are they unsure if it's a hawk or not?

Overflo In reply to Lizzy23 [2013-06-13 21:04:55 +0000 UTC]
Americans in general have problems being sure if hawks are actually hawk or not - if in doubt, it's a hawk!

Apparently, it's the large variety of plumage patterns for both sexes. The most of any hawk.
