Description Basically this is the first piece of a blooming series of emotional portraits of mine. These shadowy figures have been with me all my life, I've imagined them since I was a young child and I just started to put them on paper regularly in the past few years.

I think of myself as a cartoonist majorly, as cartoons are what I have drawn for most of my life. Cartoons are a great way to show emotion, with lines, colors, expressions. However I also love surreal and macabre art. I also think of myself as a surreal and macabre inspired artist. I'm trying to see if I can express emotion with simple, blank figures. Whether or not the name of the specific piece matches the 'feeling' of the actual picture, is up to me and you. To me, the title is the expression. See what you will. Enjoy.

I love to draw macabre art, too. It's a really good way to put really strong emotions down, I find.

These shadowy figures seem to symbolize a lot, and I really like how they are almost clockwork-y.
