Well as a doctor I am sure you are well aware that it takes more than wishes...but that's a good start.

as a cynical human being, too.
but there must be a start somewhere, or we then should erase the human being part and be left with cynicism..

Sry for that...the older I get the more cynical I become because I'm too much of a realist
I totally agree with you...if we all sat around and did nothing about anything we'd certainly wouldn't last too long as a species even though for sure there are some humans I wouldn't mind in the least seeing erased.

oh, i was totally thinking of myself, when i said cynical. i have no idea how you are
i am too much cynical, and sometimes (only sometimes) i try to fight this tendency. i don't want to become too "dry", too "hard" in my core.
so even then, it's for selfish reasons

Well it takes one to know one. Pleased to meet ya
This is a good mindset to have. We must keep as much negativity away from us as possible...then we won't get so disillusioned when faced with the cold hard facts that nothing is what it appears to be.
There is nothing selfish about trying to make yourself a better person. In fact these sort of "makeovers" should be applauded

that is a terrifying image, so beautifully realised, so necessarily frightening.

necessarily... the word reminds me of movies. when critics say about difficult scenes (nude, horror, torture..) that they were not just added for effect or drama, that they were necessary.
it's the same thing here, in a way.

Ghostly and beautiful - with title and with context of ebola project it presents the fear of the unseen - like viruses , bacteria or radiation in
terms of the material world .
it´s a coincidence but i have been working with series of images with multiple faces merging . ghost world

that's how i saw it too, the fear of the sikness, the fear of death, in the most direct way of interpreting the image: the ghost of death taking the soul away. i know, cliché, but it goes with the theme, and the image itself is not a cliché at all.
waiting to see your new images then

beautiful work ....
we carry within us the fear of never knowing when we will face death, of not knowing when we'll take our final breath, of our total helplessness, when we suddenly realise that we aren't strong, when things could go wrong, if we have a future we fear the unknown for we don't know what it will hold, each day we get older and some people fear growing old but others fear not growing old ...

thanks Chris!
i can't decide what is more frigthening, knowing or not knowing. i mean when and how.
for me (very pragmatic and material person) i always ask myself (wish) that my death won't be painful.
for the rest, i try not to think of it (coward, in every way)
