On y retrouve avec emotion un portrait de la grand mere, "qu'est ce qu'elle etait belle quand elle etait jeune!".

you're as sweet as her!
i thought the portrait in itself was ordinary, which made me do more work on the texture, and i loved where it took me to.

texture and colour are great looks like an old glass plate (the actual technical tech escapes me right now, but i'm sure you know what i mean)

thanks Dafydd
i think i got it, like those where the image is embedded in the glass?

RichardLeach [2011-02-27 18:20:47 +0000 UTC]

good title, there's a sense of calm here.
you have a gift for creating distorted images that feel very natural at the same time.
the color is unusual and great, the color and texture somehow remind me of acids and chemistry lab in college.
i could go on, i think i will stop for now and fave this!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

partiallyHere In reply to RichardLeach [2011-02-27 18:39:56 +0000 UTC]

the title, well, it all started with the yellow

it was mostly here a texture exercise for me (i don't really see it as a portrait)
i used the classical old film, but i also used a very interesting one i got from shooting a garden light who was on, with a macro lens.
hmm, too much technical details, I know

thanks dear!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to partiallyHere [2011-02-27 19:03:51 +0000 UTC]

old Donovan song, "mellow yellow", great song, now it's playing in my mind

and don't worry, i like technical details the different things you do are cool, it's like all the different collage scraps i use - well, a little like that maybe - you know, the eye always on the prowl for stuff.

i think the story is important too. not essential, just interesting to know.
and i always tell you, the "not-photographer", i wonder why ( i know why )
