a strong flash of familiarity in this composition really tickled brain but I could not peg the correlation until today. My brain (crazed thing that it is) overlayed this with a momentary cinematic frame from a movie I have not seen in years. A really powerful, surreal, seductive scene at the end of "All That Jazz" when the angel lifts her veil for a final kiss.

i have this happening with some images, sometimes real life scenes, too.

this is different - and i like it. there's a kind of strength or assertiveness in the raised shoulders, though a cloud/veil is descending from above.
